Gilles Jonemann has always taken a keen interest in teaching.

He took part in the design of various schools and was, in particular, a founding member of the Ateliers de Fontblanche, in Vitrolles and Nîmes. He ran the jewelry workshop from 1977 to 1995.

He also taught at the Haute école d’Art appliqué of the Canton of Neuchâtel in La Chaux-de-Fonds, as well as at the École des Arts décoratifs in Geneva (now HEAD).

In France, he led various sessions at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris.

He was regularly commissioned for programmes developing creativity in the Indian Ocean, Africa, Central America…

He currently offers private one-to-one courses in his workshop at the Villa Frivole in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer. If you are interested, here is how to proceed:

A preliminary meeting will be necessary to assess your goals and needs. A tailored programme, taking into account the duration you wish, will then be proposed.

As the Villa Frivole is a guest house, you will be accommodated full board and will therefore share the life of the house outside of lessons.

The course runs from Monday morning to the end of the day on Friday. To make the most of workshop time, it is best to arrive on the Sunday and leave the following Saturday.

You will have access to all the workshop tooling, basic materials, and to a fairly rich documentation in the contemporary and ethnic fields. You will also be able to build up a directory of professional contacts.

For any further information, contact Gilles Jonemann.

Note: the principle of private courses remains open to variations in organisation.
